Callaway students are assigned to counselors alphabetically. Students whose last names begin with letters A through I are assigned to Andrea Hopson. Students whose last names begin with letters J through Z are assigned to Megan Thrasher.

Individual career and postsecondary guidance sessions are scheduled yearly according to grade level. Senior and junior advisement meetings are planned during the first semester, while sophomore and freshman meetings are planned during the second semester. During these advisement sessions, counselors will discuss:

  • grades;

  • graduation requirements; and,

  • career and college planning.

Current and recent students, please apply for your transcripts for college through your GAFutures account.  All others, should obtain a Request for Transcript form from Students Services. There is a $4.00 charge for each transcript request made through the Student Services office.

Teen Mental Health Resources 

  • Tips to Help Teens Cope During COVID-19 - A helpful guide on promoting and maintaining positive mental health. This guide provides actionable tips to improve mental health and wellness, especially during the COVID pandemic.  

  • Trevor Text - 1-866-488-7386 A service provided by The Trevor Project that aims to help LGBTQ youth who may be struggling with a mental health crisis. Text START to 678-678 anytime to be connected with a counselor. 

  • SIOS - A non-profit outreach initiative focused on supporting those who self-injure. 


Substance Abuse Support Resources 

  • The Summit Wellness Group - Highly-rated Georgia-based addiction and mental health provider with an extensive assortment of online recovery resources. 

  • SAMHSA's Treatment Locator - Directory for finding treatment facilities confidentially and anonymously. of helpful online recovery support resources and a 24/7 helpline at 678-705-8762. 

  • Georgia Overdose Prevention Project - An advocacy organization that provides free naloxone kits to Georgians through the mail. 

  • Opioid Overdose Rescue - Outlines 3 simple steps to save a life in the event of an opioid overdose. Includes helpful reference videos.
